Dr. Jennifer Newman is a Chiropractor registered with the College of Chiropractors of Ontario. She holds Honours Science Bachelor Degree with a major in Health Studies from the University of Waterloo and is a graduate of the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College.
During her years in practice Dr. Newman has gained diverse clinical experience treating conditions such as back and neck pain, headaches, shoulder injuries, knee pain, and plantar fasciitis. She also treats patients who are on WSIB or MVA claims.
Dr. Newman strives to provide exceptional patient-focused chiropractic care. Treatment includes a thorough complaint and health history, examination of the area of injury, a diagnosis and treatment that is tailored to the patient. She uses a variety of techniques to individualize care. These may include spinal adjusting, soft tissue and muscle therapy, use of modalities, and instruction for stretching and strengthening exercises. Dr. Newman loves to see patients recover from injury, decrease chronic pain and live healthy lives with the help of chiropractic care.
Dr. Newman believes that increasing clinical knowledge is a vital component of successful practice. She holds post-graduate certification in Graston Technique, Spider Taping, and has attended seminars in pre-natal, post-natal and infant chiropractic care. She is working toward certification with the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association currently and hopes to study acupuncture in the future.
In addition to working at her practice, Dr. Newman is a part-time professor at St. Clair College in Chatham. She has previously been a Professional Figure Skating Coach with the Chatham Figure Skating Club. When she is not at work, Dr. Newman enjoys spending her time at home with her husband and young daughter.
